We decided to take a new approach.

Each issue of Automotive Intersection, we highlight a shop that has its own unique story. They are businesses that have grown while in our group. We ask them how they benefitted from the Automotive Technology & Energy Group. It never fails that these successful business owners will say that it’s not the insurance or the money savings; it’s the brotherhood. It’s getting together and talking about what works and what doesn’t. It’s the connection to other people in your field that share your experiences.

It occurred to me that our current board members are the cream of the crop. Each of them fits the criteria to be featured in this month’s issue. Each started small and grew to become a formidable presence in the industry. As a group, they only have members’ best interests at heart. I am proud to be part of such an active, positive team. That’s why I thought it’s about time we introduce ourselves to you a bit more. Hopefully, you will get some insight into their reasons for being part of one of the biggest and best independent organizations in Western New York.

The economy the past few years has had every small business owner reevaluating his practices. This is the time to rely on the strengths of others. By becoming more active in ATE, you will find better ways to make money and grow. You will no doubt come away with a better outlook, renewed feelings.

It’s time for you to introduce yourself. We value your opinions and need your input. When we don’t hear from you, we think everything is satisfactory. We, as a board, work hard to bring forth the best in the industry - new topics, new associates...are you making use of the things we have to offer? Please come to the next general meeting on May 19th. We are going to invite new members, present and past members to get your opinions on what matters to you. It will be a less formal gathering where we can do what we do best. I hope to see you there.

Sincerely,
Christopher Grzybowski
president
